10 Steps to Sixth Form
In September and October research which A levels/BTEC courses you think you might like to study. Speak to teachers and Sixth Form students.
2. Tutor Time and Assemblies
Opportunities to discuss your ideas and pathways with your tutors and Head of Year.
3. Parents’ Evening
Parents Evening: Discuss with your subject teachers your suitability for these subjects at A Level/ BTEC. 11th October for current Hayesfield students.
4. Open Evening
9th November on the Upper Oldfield Park Campus. Opportunities to hear from subject leaders and current students and ask questions. There is an Open Afternoon to view the facilities on the Brougham Hayes campus on 15th November.
5. Application Form
Hand in your completed application form by Monday 12th December.
6. Mock Exams
Turn your conditional offer into an unconditional one by achieving our entry grades.
7. Sixth Form Consultation
During January and February you will be invited for a 1:1 consultation to discuss your application and course choices.
27th June (26th June for externals) – a day to try out your subjects, meet your tutors and get to know the Sixth Form ready for September.
9. Results Day
In August confirm your place once you have your GCSE results. An opportunity to alter subject choices in light of these results will be available. If you are not currently at Hayesfield please bring your results slip to reception for photocopying.
At the start of September enrol formally to start your Hayesfield Mixed Sixth journey!
