Due to popular demand we are pursuing the idea of a Senior School Ski Trip for February half term 2020.
This trip is open to present Years 11 and 12.
If you are seriously interested in taking part in such a ski trip it is very important you email Mrs Brian asap:
If there is enough keen interest I will proceed in organising a trip.
Further details will be released if this trip becomes a real possibility.
Remember – you do not have to have skied before. As with all ski trips, all abilities are very welcome.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Year 13 Leavers Party is on Thursday 28th June – 6.30pm in Queens Square for photos then 7/7.30pm at The Bath Function Rooms, Green Park Brasserie.

THIS IS YOUR FIRST DAY OF SIXTH FORM. On this day you will meet your Sixth Form tutor, all your teachers, sample lessons, collect Summer work to prepare for starting A-Levels in September and have fun.
There will be a welcome evening in September for parents with information on how to support your daughter or son on making the transition from a GCSE pupil to an A-Level student. You will receive a separate letter about this event.
Do you have a spare room?
Due to the success of our Euroclass Programme, we are looking for caring and welcoming Hayesfield families to host our Norwegian 6th Form students for the duration of the Autumn Term 2018.
The group is a mix of boys and girls who are looking for accommodation within walking distance of the school whilst they study here to experience British culture and improve their English.
The students would be hosted individually within a home from home environment which provides daily home cooked meals and a bedroom with a study area. Ideally with an en-suite or sharing a bathroom with one other person so they have their own privacy and space.
We provide a generous weekly living expenses allowance.
If you would like an application form or would like to find out more information then please contact Fiona Harrison via the Sixth Form Office or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Our new subject information cards are now online. Please click here for more information.
Hayesfield Mixed Sixth Form achieves dazzling results
The Summer sun can’t outshine the results as students and teachers at Hayesfield Mixed Sixth Form are also celebrating yet another set of record-breaking A-Level results. A truly outstanding set of results sees students receiving one third of their graded entries at the highest A and A* standard with nearly two thirds of all grades awarded at A* to B.
Headteacher, Emma Yates said, “Following on from Ofsted highlighting our Sixth Form as outstanding this Spring we are, once again, delighted and proud of our students’ achievements. Hayesfield Mixed Sixth Form offers a unique experience that gives students a head start for success in their A Levels and vocational qualifications and for life beyond school. From work experience to political and social awareness students receive expert help and guidance. They gain confidence in selecting post-18 destinations and gain confidence from the one-to-one support they receive from their teachers and tutor. Students’ hard work and talent, with the support of our committed staff, have led to a tremendous set of results.”
Over one-third of Hayesfield Sixth Formers will take up places at highly selective Russell Group universities places compared with the 7% average for the South West of England. Students who have secured prestigious university places include Zara Dando who will be studying Mechanica Engineering at Exeter and Alex Stanley studying Philosophy at Durham. Four students will be heading to Oxbridge in 2017, Lucy Cryer ( Engineering), Melissa May ( Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic) at Cambridge and Maia Webb-Hayward ( Fine Art) and Megan Chant ( Medicine) at Oxford. We’re also very proud of Bella Lloyd who secured a competitive higher apprenticeship with Deloitte in accountancy.
A number of exceptional performances came from Lucy Cryer A*A*A*A ( Engineering, Cambridge) , Ellie McCormack A*A*A*A ( Politics, Philosophy and Economics, Exeter), Katie Oliver A*A*A B ( History, Warwick), Zoe Olsen Groome A* A A A ( History, Warwick) , Megan Chant A*A B B ( Medicine, ), Poppy Clark A* A* B ( French/ Spanish, Cardiff), Rosie Davies A*A B ( Sports Science, Loughborough), Bath McEwan A* A B ( History, Cardiff), Lily Reid A* A A ( Philosophy, ), Sebastien Reid A A Distinction*, Lelia Robine-Durnell A* A B, Alex Stanley A* A B ( Philosophy, Durham), Miranda Daniel A A A A ( Japanese Studies, Durham). A further special mention should go to our year 12 student Anna Burt who achieved 4 grade As in her AS levels just before heading off to the Commonwealth Youth Games and winning a Silver Medal in the 800m. A shining achievement!
Significant achievements are awarded to Lucia Spencer, Olivia Davies and Molly Dallimore who made significant progress during their two years at Hayesfield Mixed Sixth Form.
Director of Hayesfield Mixed Sixth Form, Catherine Trueman added “Our average points score per student continue to rise year on year – students have risen to our challenges and high expectations! Hayesfield is an inclusive Sixth Form, we have students who aim to study at Oxbridge, overseas or secure high-quality apprenticeships. We are absolutely delighted to see that all of our students are well on the way to achieving their ambitions. Once again, a great year for Hayesfield.”
Hugely excited to be launching our ski trip for Easter 2019 to Voss Norway.
Fjords, the Northern lights and Voss is the skiing metropolis of Fjord Norway.
With our Sixth Form’s close relationship with Norway, a ski trip to the stunning country was just waiting to happen – and now it will!
The trip will be a once in a lifetime experience, and if you are interested please email Mrs Brian at: email@example.com
This trip is open to present Years 7 to 11, and our new Years 7 and 12 in September.
This will a major trip, just as Quebec Canada was in 2016. If you would like further details at this stage please get in touch.

I wanted to write to inform you that for Term 4 only, we will be offering a Period 6 support session for your Son/Daughter. This will run in addition to the Wednesday Period 6 Sessions that I previously informed you of.
The sessions will run as structured revision sessions and will give the students time to revisit some of the topics from Year 12, Terms 1, 2 and 3. On the lead up to Easter, this will be an excellent opportunity for them to get some dedicated support which will help them achieve the best possible outcome in their Summer examination.
The first few sessions have been scheduled as follows; the last few have been left open so that the students can make suggestions as to what they would like to cover in these sessions.
The programme is as follows:
Carbohydrates: Monday, 20th February 2017
Proteins: Monday, 27th February 2017
Enzymes: Monday, 6th March 2017
DNA (Transcription and translation): Monday, 13th March 2017
It would be wonderful if you could continue to encourage your Son/Daughter to take advantage of both the Wednesday and Monday support sessions.
